Abstract: Steven Skoczen, the developer of IMPACT 4, a suite of software tools to develop online surveys including those for preference assessment and those that include ACASI (Audio Computer-Assisted Structured Interviewing) technology, provided a general overview of the application of the technology and the technical aspects of the suite of tools.

Abstract: Dr. Carley’s work examines how groups, organizations, and societies change over time.  Her research combines ideas from organizational theory, sociology, social networks, distributed artificial intelligence, graph theory, communication, computational sociology, and computational organization theory. She uses a wide range of methodologies including: computational analysis, simulation, social networks, statistics, computer aided text analysis, and analysis of archival data.

1. The CEBP received its second ARRA supplement to the P30. This $385,314 supplement provides support for the following:

The Center for Evidence-based Practice in the Underserved received a $250,000 economic stimulus supplement to fund a two year summer education program for a science educator and 12 students from Gregorio Luperon High School, a science and mathematics high school for Latino immigrants. The focus of the program is disseminating research findings into the community and targets include improving glycemic control among those with diabetes and increasing physical activity among adolescents.
